The upper is made of a flexible polyester fabric that feels like a light- to mid-weight polyester blanket. The bouncy footbed features a supportive arch that reduced my foot and ankle discomfort, and its rounded sole at the front and back created a more fluid heel-to-toe rocking motion when I walked. They feature the brand’s patented Oofoam technology-a nontoxic, closed-cell foam-which absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear foam. In fact, they are the lightest slippers of any I tested, at just 5.7 ounces each. The magic of these springy, cloud-like slippers is in their midsole support and the fact that they’re extremely lightweight. Technically known as recovery slippers, the Oofos Oocoozie Mule Shoes offer next-level relief for sore feet. Those who want significant arch support.Sizes: 5 to 12 | Colors: 5 total, including Light Gray Sherpa and Tawny Sherpa | Materials: Closed-cell foam, polyester After the shoe air dried away from heat, I was able to reset the liner’s fluffiness by brushing gently with a bristle brush.

Maintenance is a breeze, though: I machine-washed these on a gentle cycle in cold water, and stains and surface scuffs lifted easily from the poly liner and foam. These were also not the warmest slippers of the group, even when worn with socks. I could wear these inside and outside if necessary, although I didn’t find they had the grippiest sole of all the slippers I tried. Because of this, I didn’t have to work hard to grip with my toes to keep the shoe on my foot, and there was less strain in my arch. The soft poly liner made them cozy, and the open holes across the bridge of the Crocs made them highly breathable, so my feet didn’t get sweaty.Ī key standout of this Croc is its pivoting strap, which makes the style convertible-you can wear them as a step-in slipper or with a heel strap that keeps them securely in place and creates good stability.

However, I’d have preferred if they were slightly more springy. The brand’s Croslite foam-a closed-cell resin-felt bendy and lightweight and gave just the right amount of arch support. I loved that they required no break-in time, and the shape of the clog-slipper followed the natural shape of my foot, so my toes could spread out without being pinched at the end of the day when they were swollen from standing all day. The Crocs Classic Lined Clogs are an all-around solid choice for easy wear and easy care at a wallet-friendly price point. Sizes: 6 to 12 | Colors: 9 total, including Navy and Black | Materials: Croslite foam, polyester liner I also found that a suede eraser easily removed small scuffs. When I dropped a small bit of pancake mix on my pair, I followed the manufacturer’s recommendation to spot clean them with a mild soap and let them air-dry, and that seemed to work well without causing significant staining to the suede. One significant drawback to L.L.Bean’s moc is that you can’t wash them. It transitioned well from bathroom floors to area rugs without feeling like I would trip, and the sole was so shoe-like in superior traction that I was tempted to wear these to school drop-offs and the grocery store. One of my favorite features was the gummy, grippy sole. My feet differ from each other by about a half size, and these slippers fit well due to the wraparound back construction and didn’t gap when I walked. While they don’t have medial arch support, they do have an EVA memory-foam insole that provides cushion from hardwood and tile floors. Despite the slippers’ thick construction, my feet sweated in these only occasionally, in particular when I wore them with socks while moving around the house cleaning. My feet tend to run cold, and these warmed up my frigid toes quickly. The thick loft of the lamb fur also made these by far the warmest slippers I tested. The shearling wraps over the edge at the ankle, providing a comfy buffer for bony ankles and heels. The soft shearling molded easily to my feet straight out of the box, which is not always the case with moccasin styles. The L.L.Bean Wicked Good Moccasins provide exceptional warmth and stability.
